EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE — An astronaut lauded as a hero of space exploration as the first U.S. Space Force guardian to visit space visited the installation this week, detailing everything from the feeling of liftoff to “space brain.”

Brig. Gen. Nick Hague, a highly decorated astronaut with three spaceflights, four spacewalks and more than a year spent in space under his belt, presented on his time away from earth and fielded questions from people on the base.
