CSUB's Toro 17th in hammer at NCAA Track, Parker competes Thursday; Key Condor home dates

Javier Toro, a senior men’s hammer thrower for Cal State Bakersfield, competed in the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Division 1 West first-round meet on Wednesday in Fayetteville, Ark., at the University of Arkansas.

Toro, who came to the meet as the Big West Conference runner-up in the event, finished 17th overall, only five spots from advancing to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships next month in Eugene, Ore.
