The Bakersfield Condors made a triumphant return to the Calder Cup playoffs on Thursday night, scoring two goals in each period, including the last four unanswered in a 6-1 rout of the Coachella Valley Firebirds at the Dignity Health Arena.

The fifth-seeded Condors took an opportunity to get ahead early in this best-of-three series, in which the No. 4 Firebirds have home-ice advantage.
