Locals who love the Red Pepper Restaurant in northeast Bakersfield — and there are a lot of them — are feeling a little nervous.

Many already know that after close to 47 years of ownership, Gilbert Sabedra and Sharon Kendall are retiring and serving their final meals at the restaurant on Oswell Street.
