VISALIA — Gavin Williams said he didn’t get much sleep the night before he and his Liberty High teammates were to play Fresno Bullard in Saturday’s CIF Central Section Division 2 championship baseball game.
Whether it was general nervousness before playing in a big game or the anxiety of wanting to play for the first time since Liberty won its semifinal May 21 over top-seeded Santa Maria St. Joseph, Williams was eager to make a difference.
