Many local restaurants experience a slowdown in business during fair time but a trio of community advocates aim to address that this year with the return of Bakersfield Restaurant Week.

Starting Sunday and running through Sept. 22, 23 businesses in downtown and southwest Bakersfield will offer something unique at a value price to entice customers to visit.
