A 13-year veteran of the Bakersfield Police Department has been arrested on suspicion of illegal possession of obscene material involving a minor.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office arrested Detective Marc Lugo, 35, Monday in northwest Bakersfield after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, KCSO said in a news release.
