Judge asks for further details in Patel's mental health diversion

Kern County Superior Court Judge Marcos Camacho asked Thursday that more details be provided in progress reports in the mental health diversion program for Riddhi Patel, the local activist charged with making threats against members of the Bakersfield City Council.

Patel was granted a mental health diversion program last month but the exact terms of the program weren’t yet fully defined. Camacho asked Patel’s attorney, public defender Jacob Evans, to request additional information from the mental health provider.
