Band, choir and orchestra students are putting their skills to the test this week as the Bakersfield City School District hosts music festivals at Bakersfield College's Simonsen Performing Arts Center.
Tuesday and again Wednesday the district is presenting its 19th Annual Junior High/Middle School Standards Festival. Then Friday, BCSD will hold its 9th Annual Junior High/Middle School Choir Standards Festival.
